高瑞夫（沙鲁克·汗 饰）是德里一个网吧的小老板，自小就是超级巨星阿利安?坎纳（沙鲁克·汗 饰）的疯狂粉丝，在他还在蹒跚学步之时就能模仿阿利安的舞蹈然而“缘分真是如此奇妙，如此不可捉摸”，长大后的高瑞夫竟然长得一副阿利安的脸，随后在明星模仿秀节目中连连夺冠。马上就到阿利安的生日了，高瑞夫决定拿比赛奖金去圆自己一生的梦想——见偶像一面。于是他像阿利安当年一样，故意逃票去了孟买，住进了同一家旅店的同一间客房。为了达到见偶像目的，高瑞夫将对自己偶像出言不逊的某影星痛打了一顿，并以此作为送给阿利安的生日礼物，不料阿利安对此很生气并报了警……谁知此举导致了不可预见的后果，局势越发不可收拾。
