间宫家有这么一对兄弟：哥哥明信（佐々木蔵之介饰）是啤酒调酒师，弟弟徹信（塚地武雅饰）在小学里当技工。哥俩儿都是御宅一族，有着许多在旁人看来古古怪怪的共同的爱好和习惯，感情别提多好了！哥俩都老大不小了，感情生活仍然一片空白。其实，他们分别有意中人：碟片店店员直美（沢尻エリカ饰）和小学老师依子（常盤貴子饰），可是，羞怯的哥俩都不敢表白心意，只是以共同邀请她们来参加家中派对的方式来和她们接触。讲述的就是这么两个性格温吞，却善良纯真的大孩子般的兄弟的平淡生活，可是——纵使生活平淡而琐碎，他们也能自得其乐，并永远对明天怀着希望！
